MARIA ISABEL GONZALEZ BAJONERO

SUMMARY The syndrome of professional burnout is frequent in the care and interpersonal care professions; in its genesis intervene, among others, factors of a labor nature. In the nursing staff it is characterized, specifically, by emotional fatigue, depersonalization and absence of personal fulfillment. For this reason, this paper aims to determine the level of professional burnout and its prevalence in nursing personnel, through the implementation of an instrument taking into account the environment or situation that allows nursing staff to manage the syndrome of Professional Wear. A cross-sectional and observational quantitative study was carried out by applying an instrument (Maslash Scale) to the nursing staff of the Morelense Children's Hospital, for which the present protocol was based on Dorothea Orem's nursing model since it is used as a means To organize the knowledge, skills and motivation of nurses from their own self-care, Orem's theory contemplates the self-concept as the totality of an individual (including physical, psychological and spiritual needs), and the concept taken care of as the totality of activities that an individual initiates to maintain life and develop in a way that is normal for him.
