Acumulación de desventajas en el curso de vida de madres con antecedente de embarazo adolescente, en un contexto semi urbano del estado de Morelos

Resumen Esta investigación, forma parte de los estudios sobre desigualdad y juventud. La unidad de análisis son mujeres con experiencia de maternidad adolescente en un contexto semi urbano del Estado de Morelos. El objetivo es comprender, desde el enfoque de curso de vida, cómo la acumulación de desventajas se entrelaza en sus trayectorias de vida y de qué manera interviene en su proceso de subjetivación. Con la finalidad de identificar y explicar los patrones que ayudan a entender mejor las consecuencias sociales de la desigualdad en las biografías de mujeres con experiencia de embarazo adolescente y cuáles son los recursos materiales y simbólicos que pueden movilizar para hacerle frente a las desventajas acumuladas que enfrentan a lo largo de su vida. Desde la perspectiva de la subjetivación, se percibe a las mujeres que participaron en este estudio como agentes activos que participan en el proceso de construcción de la realidad y de sí mismas, que son capaces de resignificar y modificar sus experiencias de vida. El presente estudio, además de proponer una mirada distinta de cómo ha sido problematizada la maternidad adolescente, busca sumar a la comprensión de la complejidad del entramado de factores con los que se relaciona. Se realizaron entrevistas con enfoque de curso de vida, a 10 mujeres con experiencia de maternidad adolescente. Se realizó un análisis retrospectivo de cuatro trayectorias de vida: familiar, escolar, sexual-reproductiva y laboral, que permitió caracterizar los eventos asociados con el proceso de acumulación de desventajas y la interrelación entre sus trayectorias y su transición a la experiencia de maternidad adolescente. Entre las desigualdades que afrontan las mujeres a lo largo de sus biografías, se identifica un patrón multidimensional denominado: pedagogía de la subordinación, que favorece la reproducción y acentuación de desventajas en la experiencia de vida de las mujeres. En este contexto, se visualizan 3 modelos de maternidad: tradicional, transicional y maternidad autónoma.

Summary This research is part of the studies on inequality and youth. The unit of analysis are women with experience of adolescent motherhood in a semi urban area in the state of Morelos. The objective is to understand, from the life course approach, how the accumulation of disadvantages is intertwined in their life trajectories and how it intervenes in their subjectivation process. In order to identify and explain the patterns that help to better understand the social consequences of inequality in the biographies of women with adolescent pregnancy experience and what are the material and symbolic resources they can mobilize to cope with the accumulated disadvantages they face throughout their lives. From the perspective of subjectivation, the women who participated in this study are perceived as active agents who participate in the process of constructing reality and themselves, and who are capable of resignifying and modifying their life experiences. The present study, in addition to proposing a different view of how adolescent motherhood has been problematized, seeks to add to the understanding of the complexity of the web of factors with which it is related. Interviews with a life course approach were conducted with 10 women with experience of adolescent motherhood. A retrospective analysis was made of four life trajectories: family, school, sexual-reproductive and work, which allowed characterizing the events associated with the process of accumulation of disadvantages and the interrelation between their trajectories and their transition to the experience of adolescent motherhood. Among the inequalities faced by women throughout their biographies, a multidimensional pattern called: pedagogy of subordination, which favors the reproduction and accentuation of disadvantages in the life experience of women, is identified. In this context, 3 models of motherhood are visualized: traditional, transitional and autonomous motherhood.
