Resiliencia comunitaria frente al riesgo de desastre de origen natural en yautepec, morelos.

Resumen Mediante el presente trabajo se pudo constatar cómo se manifiesta la Resiliencia Comunitaria frente al riesgo de desastre de origen natural, en la cabecera municipal de Yautepec, Morelos. Para darle cumplimiento a este objetivo, se partió de los referentes de la Psicología Social, la Psicología Comunitaria y la Psicología de Emergencias y Desastres. A través de un enfoque metodológico cualitativo, sustentado en la Teoría de las Representaciones Sociales, el Interaccionismo Simbólico y la Teoría Fundamentada; se obtuvieron e interpretaron los datos recabados en la investigación. Los resultados demostraron que en el contexto de estudio se manifiesta la resiliencia comunitaria ante desastres de origen natural a partir de los siguientes pilares: Identidad Cultural, Entrenamiento Histórico Cultural, Autoestima Colectiva, Humor Social y Honestidad Estatal. Lo que significa que las características comunitarias que más contribuyen a la resiliencia son: las costumbres, valores y la identidad compartida por sus habitantes, los conocimientos de los riesgos y desastres y las buenas prácticas de afrontamiento. Los sentimientos y actitudes positivas con respecto a Yautepec y a los yautepequenses, presentes en los entrevistados, así como las redes comunitarias y su capacidad de humor hasta en los momentos más difíciles, constituyeron también escudos resilientes; asimismo, la confianza en algunos organismos estatales, sobre todo para afrontar estas situaciones de riesgos y desastres. No obstante, la violencia y las muestras de corrupción en algunos representantes del gobierno resaltaron como aspectos negativos que pueden lacerar la capacidad de resiliencia. A partir de estos hallazgos, se pueden generar estrategias de intervención para fortalecer la resiliencia comunitaria, considerando un enfoque psicosocial, preventivo, educativo, multidisciplinar e intersectorial. Abstract Through the present study, it was possible to confirm how the community resilience is expressed while dealing with natural disaster risks, in the municipal capital of Yautepec, Morelos. In order to fulfil this objective, it was taken into account the referents of Social Psychology, Community Psychology, and Emergency and Disaster Psychology. By means of a quality methodological approach, based on the Theory of Social Representations, the Symbolic Interactionism and the Grounded Theory, the obtained data was gathered and analyzed in this investigation. The results showed that in the context of the study, the community resilience is expressed against disasters of natural origin on the basis of the following pillars: Cultural Identity, Cultural Historical Training, Collective Self-esteem, Social humor, and the Honesty of the State. This means that the characteristics of the community that most contributed to the resilience are: customs, values and the identity shared by its inhabitants. Similarly, the knowledge they could have concerning the risks and disasters and the good coping practices. The emotions and the positive attitude regarding Yautepec and of the people from Yautepec who were actually interviewed, as well as the community networks and their mood capacity expressed even in the most difficult situations, also constituted resilient shields; additionally, the confidence in some of the government entities, particularly to face these risk and disaster situations. However, the violence and the corruption expressions evidenced in some of the government representatives stood out as negative aspects which can lacerate the resilience capacity. Based on the finding results, intervention strategies can be generated in order to strengthen the community resilience considering a psychosocial, preventive, educational, multidisciplinary and intersectoral approach.
