Frecuencia de desnutrición en pacientes de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de un Hospital General

La presente tesina muestra un análisis de la frecuencia de desnutrición que se presentan los pacientes en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) durante su estancia hospitalaria, esto influye mucho en su recuperación, por lo cual influye en la prolongación de la estancia en la UCI debido a la falta de nutrientes que el organismo necesita para tener una óptima evolución; la desnutrición está íntimamente relacionada con la enfermedad influyendo en la cicatrización y mejoría del padecimientos siendo un problema común en la UCI que requiere un abordaje especializado de enfermería; esto debido a que los eventos que condicionaron estar en dicho servicio debido a que presentan alteración de la digestión y absorción de nutrientes, aumento en los requerimientos nutricionales o el aumento en el catabolismo. Se propone el desarrollo de un estudio con diseño transversal descriptivo en pacientes hospitalizados en el área de UCI en un hospital general. Se recabara la información tomando el peso de los pacientes que están la UCI con las basculas que se encuentran instaladas en las camas y se sacara su IMC de igual manera se implementara un cuestionario para conocer el grado de desnutrición que presentan.

Summary: This thesis shows an analysis of the frequency of malnutrition that patients present in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) during their hospital stay, this greatly influences their recovery, so it influences the prolongation of the stay in the ICU due to the lack of nutrients that the organism needs to have an optimal evolution; Malnutrition is intimately related to the disease, influencing the healing and improvement of the diseases, being a common problem in the ICU that requires a specialized nursing approach; this is due to the fact that the events that conditioned being in said service due to the fact that they have impaired digestion and absorption of nutrients, an increase in nutritional requirements or an increase in catabolism. A study with descriptive transversal design in patients is proposed. Hospitalized in the ICU area in a general hospital. The information will be collected taking the weight of the patients who are the ICU with the scales that are installed in the beds and their BMI will be taken out in the same way a questionnaire will be implemented to know the degree of malnutrition they present.
