Propuesta metodológica para evaluar la percepción sobre cuidado humanizado en pacientes hospitalizados por COVID-19

Durante la pandemia de COVID-19 en 2019 los sistemas de salud tuvieron que reestructurar el manejo de la atención sanitaria, implementando la utilización del EPP, el cual creó una brecha física entre el enfermero y el paciente. La escasa información de las vías de transmisión, la mortalidad de la enfermedad, así como también el rápido contagio humano, hizo que la atención sanitaria fuera mecánica y desapegada del sentir de los pacientes. Los cuales desde el día uno de hospitalización, se encontraban en completo aislamiento. Motivo por el cual, en el presente trabajo de grado se realizó una investigación metodológica, para encontrar un instrumento adecuado, en el cual se pueda evaluar la percepción, respecto al cuidado humanizado, aplicable a escenarios hospitalarios COVID-19 y con medidas de aislamiento estricto. Al implementar el instrumento de valoración, adaptado por González-Hernández, a las instituciones de salud receptores de pacientes COVID-19, se podrá conocer la perspectiva sobre el cuidado humanizado recibido durante su estancia hospitalaria. Con los resultados obtenidos se identificarán las áreas de oportunidad, y trabajar en ellas para lograr atención humanizada a todos los pacientes, aun con medidas de aislamiento estricto.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, health systems had to restructure the management of health care, implementing the use of PPE, which created a physical gap between the nurse and the patient. The scarce information on the routes of transmission, the mortality of the disease, as well as the rapid human contagion, made health care mechanical and detached from the feelings of the patients. From day one of hospitalization, they were in complete isolation. Reason why, in this degree work, a methodological investigation was carried out, to find an adequate instrument, in which the perception can be evaluated, regarding humanized care, applicable to COVID-19 hospital scenarios and with strict isolation measures. By implementing the assessment instrument, adapted by González-Hernández, to the health institutions receiving COVID-19 patients, the perspective on the humanized care received during their hospital stay will be known. With the results obtained, areas of opportunity will be identified and work on them to achieve humanized care for all patients, even with strict isolation measures.
