Impacto de una intervención neuropsicológica con enfoque multimodal en adolescentes con TDAH

RESUMEN Objetivo Diseñar y aplicar un programa de intervención neuropsicológica con enfoque multimodal a adolescentes con TDAH y evaluar sus resultados. Metodología Se realizaron cuatro estudios de caso para evaluar el desempeño antes y después de un tratamiento multimodal con énfasis neuropsicológico, de adolescentes con diagnóstico de TDAH en pruebas neuropsicológicas. Sus resultados finales fueron contrastados con los de un grupo control de seis adolescentes de misma edad y escolaridad. La intervención consistió en sesiones individuales y grupales para los participantes, sus profesores y familiares. Resultados Se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en las evaluaciones pre-post; además después de realizar el análisis de los datos mediante la Prueba T Modificada, se encontró que el desempeño post prueba del grupo clínico fue en algunas subpruebas mejor que el del grupo control. Conclusión El presente estudio evidenció un cambio a nivel de desempeño cognitivo en las pruebas aplicadas. Sin embargo, no se observó un cambio conductual significativo. Se deben considerar futuros estudios que incluyan la sistematización de prácticas en las aulas y en los hogares.

SUMMARY Objective Design and apply a neuropsychological intervention program with multimodal approach to adolescents with ADHD and evaluate the results. Methodology Four case studies of adolescents diagnosed with ADHD were conducted to evaluate the before and after performance a multimodal intervention with neuropsychological emphasis, Their final results were contrasted with those of a control group of six adolescents of the same age and level of education. The intervention consisted of individual and group sessions for the participants, their teachers and family members. Results Statistically significant differences were found in the pre-post evaluations; In addition, after performing the analysis of the data using the Modified T-Test, it was found that the post-test performance of the clinical group was better in some subtests than in the control group. Conclusion The present study evidenced a change in the level of cognitive performance in the tests applied. However, no significant behavioral change was observed. Future studies that include the systematization of practices in classrooms and in homes should be considered.
