Diagnóstico de prácticas sustentables en el sector hotelero de los pueblos mágicos en morelos

RESUMEN La sustentabilidad en el sector turístico representa un paradigma de desarrollo, porque se deben aprovechar los recursos de bienes y servicios locales, para el abatimiento de la pobreza y al mismo tiempo se debe promover el cuidado y la protección del patrimonio natural y cultural de cada sitio turístico, para la creación armónicos lazos entre los turistas y la comunidad local. Las empresas turísticas son la clave para el desarrollo de estrategias de consumo y producción sustentable. En este sentido el sector hotelero aprovecha los capitales natural, cultural, patrimonial y humano; para ofrecer originales y adecuados servicios de hospedaje. Lo que contribuiría a un sello de orientación sustentable, evidenciado a través de la adquisición de certificaciones en materia ambiental, que garantice la calidad en el servicio y que reduzca las fugas económicas y al mismo tiempo se logren beneficios económicos para la comunidad y el país. En este sentido, la presente investigación se orientó en la identificación del nivel de desempeño de las prácticas sustentables en el sector hotelero en los Pueblos Mágicos de Morelos (Tepoztlán y Tlayacapan); a través de un instrumento de observación desde la perspectiva cliente, diseñado empleando guías y normas de organizaciones certificadoras, dicho instrumento fue piloteado en un Pueblo Mágico alternativo, con el objetivo de validar la viabilidad del instrumento diseñado. Los resultados permitieron distinguir la necesidad incrementar los esfuerzos para que el sector hotelero establezca acciones de responsabilidad en el cuidado y conservación de los recursos naturales y del patrimonio cultural; además se observó que la reglamentación vigente requiere actualizarse en materia de gestión sustentable para las buenas prácticas de hospedaje en los Pueblos Mágicos.

ABSTRACT The sustainability in the tourism sector represents a development paradigm, because the resources of local goods and services must be used, to reduce poverty and at the same time the take care and protection of the natural and cultural heritage of each tourist site, it is must be promoted the creation of harmonious ties between tourists and the local community. Tourism companies are the key to the development of sustainable consumption and production strategies. In this sense the hotel sector takes advantage of natural, cultural, heritage and human capitals; to offer original and adequate hosting services. What would contribute to a sustainable orientation signet, evidenced through the acquisition of environmental certifications, that guarantees quality in the service and that reduces economic leaks and at the same time acquires economic benefits to the country and the community. In this sense, the present investigation was oriented in the identification of the level of performance of sustainable practices in the hotel sector in the Magic Towns of Morelos (Tepoztlán and Tlayacapan); Through an observation instrument from the client perspective, designed using guidelines and standards from certifying organizations, this instrument was assay in an alternative Magical Town, with the aim of validating the viability of the designed instrument. Through the results was possible to distinguish the need to increase efforts for the hotel sector to establish responsible actions in the care and conservation of natural resources and cultural heritage; It was also noted that the current regulations require updating in terms of sustainable management for good lodging practices in the Magical Towns.
